Our Family

Jake and I have been married for 20 years and we have 5 children. Such a little sentence for so much life! Together we own and operate a home renovation company here in Lancaster, JKS & CO. We love to take long Sunday naps, play Rook, eat Grammy’s homemade food and lounge by our pool listening to Billy Joel. We believe that faith is greater than fear and that doing things afraid is a gift we give ourselves. We love home and all that it represents, even the hard work and piles of dishes and laundry. Like my Mother always says, “it means someone lives here.” At my kitchen sink I have this hand-written poem from my Mother. I hope you enjoy it and live by it:

“O! Give me patience when wee hands tug at me for small demands. Give me kind and smiling eyes, keep my lips from hasty replies. Let me not in weariness, confusion and noise obscure my vision of life’s fleeting joys. So when, in years to come my house is still — no bitter memories its room may fill.”
